The everyday jobs: dripping taps and worn cartridges, running cisterns and ball valves, seized isolation valves and stopcocks, blocked traps and waste pipes, leaking compression joints and pipework repairs.
Burst pipe, water coming through a ceiling, an overflow running down the outside wall or a failed valve you can't shut off. First job is isolating the water, then tracing the source and making it safe.
Damp patches on a ceiling, a meter that keeps turning with everything off, or a pipe that's split. We trace the leak as accurately as we can before opening anything up, then repair the pipework and make good.
Dripping spouts, weeping spindles, stiff or squealing handles and taps that have furred up with limescale. Usually a cartridge, ceramic disc or washer rather than a whole new tap.
Cisterns that keep running into the pan, weak or double flushes, water seeping from the pan seal, and overflows dripping outside. Normally a float valve, flush valve seal or diaphragm.

Boiler locked out, showing a fault code, not firing, or losing pressure overnight? We test the boiler and the system it's connected to — expansion vessel, PRV, pump, diverter valve, sensors and controls — before deciding what needs repairing.
A proper service, not a wipe over: case off and internal inspection, combustion analysis on the flue gas analyser, gas rate and working pressure, flue and seals checked, condensate run, expansion vessel charge, system pressure and controls operation.
Replacing an old or unreliable boiler. We look at hot water demand, the number of bathrooms, existing pipework and gas supply size, flue position and controls before recommending a combi or a system boiler with a cylinder.
Heating that takes hours to warm up, radiators that never get hot, or a system that's noisy when the pump runs. Covers balancing, TRV and lockshield work, pump and circulation faults, pipework alterations, new radiators and heating controls.
Where sludge and magnetite have built up in the heating circuit, causing cold spots, slow warm-up and black water when you bleed a radiator. Cold radiators don't automatically mean a flush is needed, so we check the system first.
